Case Study: Artificial Turf Removal

Job Type: Artificial Turf Removal

Description

When the team at Tiger Turf is tasked with upgrading artificial turf courts, GRABIT makes light work of clearing the existing surface.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Traditionally, clearing an old court surface has meant cutting it into small sections, rolling it up and lifting it into a skip bin – an extremely time-consuming and labour-intensive method.

Solution

Using a GRABIT grab truck and operator, Tiger Turf’s court refurbishment teams can get the job done faster, using less manpower.

The old court is simply cut into sections and dragged to the edge of the court using a bobcat or quad.  The grab truck then lifts the material straight into the truck and takes it away from site, negating the need for skip bins. With around six 9 metre bins required to handle the waste product, using a single grab truck reduces costs significantly.

Grab trucks hold up to 30 cubic metres of waste. The greater volume capacity allows the entire court can be removed in one load using just one truck.

With the height and reach of the grab truck crane system, material can be picked up and removed from over the tennis court fencing.

GRAB TRUCKS ARE BECOMING A POPULAR CHOICE FOR A VARIETY OF JOBS.
